you could write about how viruses are constantly changing leaving more people at risk. the flu for example, how many different types of flu are there? how to they change? where are people most at risk? stuff to that effect could work

I think this would be a very interesting topic. You could probably find a lot of information on any disease or new discovery in medicine. I need help with a topic too!

    lol.
    okay, so what about:
    1. H1N1 aka swine flu—problems it has caused in the US and other countries; how it affects pregnant women and infants, like how they’re more susceptible/ vulnerable to it?
    2. African Sleeping Sickness—this sounds interesting.
    3. Hydatid disease

Medicine is very interesting and there are a lot of different things to look into. Many weird diseases do exist that are questionable and seem unrealistic. One i could think of is “tree man” I saw this once on the discovery channel about some guy in asia. He has a weird disease where his body has stuff growing on him that look like tree.

-this can definitely be researched and there are so many weird diseases like pica disease, alien hand syndrome, or alice in wonderland syndrome
-example: you can do pica disease which is the disease that urges you to eat things other then food like dirt or paperclips
-what causes this and what are the symptoms?
-you can probably look up the info on one of those medical websites that are self diagnosing, google, etc.

There is a lot you can research about especially now with the outbreak of the H1N1 virus… You can also research major epidemic diseases in history and how it effected everybody (ex: Black Plague).
